TEN’s Sold-Out Showcase in Dallas

EC Stanzel•

TEN brought his first solo US tour to a sold-out Studio at The Bomb Factory in Dallas on Thursday, Oct. 29. The TEN(10) US Showcase Tour arrives two years after his solo debut and shortly after the release of “OUTWEST” and “IRL,” his first release through ILLIMNT, the company he co-founded. Over about 90 minutes, the set covered a great mix of songs from his solo catalog and highlighted his artistry, dynamic vocals, and captivating choreography.

“STUNNER” and “Nightwalker” kicked off the night, followed by “Birthday,” “ON TEN,” “Dangerous” and “Shadow.” It was a strong way to open. Six performance-heavy songs nearly nonstop is a demanding start, but TEN made it look easy. The crowd’s energy was explosive from the first beat of “STUNNER,” and it only got louder with each song. TEN’s energy was even more impressive given his tour schedule. The Dallas stop came just one night after Houston, and TEN credited the crowd with giving him a second wind. Judging by the power of the first act, he meant it.

The crowd was made up pretty much entirely of fans, many lightsticks from TEN’s various groups scattered throughout the room. When TEN asked whether anyone there that night was new to his music, nobody answered, and the silence caught him a little off guard. For a sold-out show, that’s a telling detail. The fans who have followed TEN through his group work showed up just as strongly for his solo music, and they knew it well, a sign that his solo career has become something people are invested in on its own.

The second act shifted the focus to TEN’s voice. A performance of “New Heroes” was stripped down to an acoustic arrangement, and “Water” followed with a gentle piano backing. Between the two songs, TEN thanked the sound crew, joking that in a venue this packed, fans in the back might not be able to see him but could at least hear him clearly.

The most interactive moment of the night came during “Lie With You,” when TEN, in a Cowboys T-shirt jersey and cowboy hat, had us light up the room with our phone flashlights and sing along. His videographer recorded the song from the stage, and TEN explained that footage from every stop will be compiled into a video following the tour.

“Can I Be Honest,” an unreleased song from his upcoming album, gave fans a sneak peek into his next project. TEN spoke about his excitement for the album, and the slower, more personal track fit well in the middle of the set. A standout moment following that was when TEN sang “Waves” while standing on top of a stool, which was fun and unexpected.

The final act brought the energy back up to ten. “IRL” was one of the most fun performances of the night, with TEN and his dancers very obviously having a blast on stage. He followed it with two songs from his second mini album, STUNNER. “Enough for Me” was a standout, showing how easily he moves between smooth vocals and sharp choreography, and "BAMBOLA" was a definite crowd favorite.

Closing the main set with “OUTWEST” made sense. Released in September, it’s his first release through ILLIMNT and the first project he directed from start to finish. It’s the clearest look yet at the direction TEN is taking on his own. The room was jumping from the first beat, and the encore kept the song going as TEN and his dancers turned the finale into an electric rave.

TEN spent years performing with WayV, NCT and SuperM before debuting as a soloist in 2024, and this tour shows how quickly he has built a solo catalog that can easily carry a full show. With “Can I Be Honest” and a new album on the way, Dallas got both a look back at his first two years and an early preview of what’s coming next. TEN told the crowd he plans to come back on tour next year, and if a showcase this good is any indication, a full-scale tour will be something fans won’t want to miss. Until then, there’s still time to catch him on the TEN(10) US Showcase Tour, which continues through Nov. 10 and wraps at Terminal 5 in New York.
