Nina Winder-Lind has unveiled "Headfirst," the latest single from her forthcoming debut solo album, Wild Love, arriving August 14 via Transgressive.

Best known as a member of Brighton's boundary-pushing band The New Eves, the Swedish songwriter and multi-instrumentalist continues to carve out her own artistic identity with a song that gradually unfolds from a restrained, guitar-driven rhythm into a soaring full-band climax. Anchored by Winder-Lind's smoky, expressive vocals, "Headfirst" balances quiet introspection with explosive emotional release.

The new single follows the previously released tracks "Girls" and "This Is Our Life," both of which offered an early glimpse into the album's themes of freedom, identity, and emotional vulnerability.

Reflecting on the inspiration behind "Headfirst," Winder-Lind explains that the song began as two separate ideas: a spoken-word poem recorded during a walk through her neighborhood and an unusual dual-guitar riff she had saved under the working title "television guitar." Over time, those pieces evolved into what she describes as a celebration of movement, emotion, and simply being alive.

Wild Love expands on the raw intensity that listeners may recognize from The New Eves while embracing a more intimate and autobiographical approach. Across 11 songs, Winder-Lind explores themes of self-discovery, connection, womanhood, and the emotional ties that bind people to one another and to the natural world.

While the record frequently reflects on female experience and pays tribute to the women who have shaped her life, it also reaches beyond resistance, embracing joy, instinct, vulnerability, and the freedom to exist without compromise. Those ideas are carried throughout the album with electric guitar serving as both its musical backbone and a symbol of expression and liberation.

Produced by longtime collaborator Jack Ogborne, Wild Love was recorded in two Bristol studios alongside Winder-Lind's live band, including fellow New Eves member Ella Oona Russell, with additional contributions from Finlay Burrows, Edward Deeney, Toma Sapir, and Francesca Brierley.

Originally envisioned as an EP, the project gradually evolved into a full-length album after Winder-Lind signed with Transgressive. It combines some of her earliest solo material with newer compositions, resulting in a cohesive body of work rooted in honesty, emotion, and artistic freedom.

For Winder-Lind, the album's title reflects the many forms love can take—from family and friendship to romance, nature, and the landscapes that shape a person's life. At its heart, Wild Love is a celebration of feeling deeply and embracing life's emotional intensity without reservation.

The release follows a breakthrough period for The New Eves, whose acclaimed debut album The New Eve Is Rising earned widespread praise for its adventurous blend of folk, post-punk, and experimental rock, establishing the group as one of the UK's most exciting emerging acts.

To celebrate the release of Wild Love, Winder-Lind will perform special in-store appearances at Rough Trade locations in London and Bristol before embarking on a European and UK tour this October, including a series of co-headline dates with Heka.
